17 years ago, I became the leader of a young adult bible study with 60 millennials and had high hopes to lead more to Jesus. So I meticulously copy & pasted the same strategies that grew my pastor’s church to well over 7,000. But within 2 years, these same strategies killed it - taking it from 60 people down to 2.
I desperately sought for answers...
While getting my Masters at the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College, I learned about 4 new values that shape a Millennial’s approach to faith. I learned they require a different strategy than the one my pastor used to reach previous generations. So after making a few changes (and clinging to God’s grace :-)), we reached & retained over 4,000 Millennials WITHOUT watering down the Gospel...AND developed some of them into leaders for the Church!
Since that time, I now train with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association, the C.O.G.I.C, Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, the Anglican Church, the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and members of the Lausanne Congress.
I teach them how to reach unchurched millennials and disciple them to reach more of their peers.
